Just Because It's Christmas

As I see so many hurting people posting their views on social media, all I can think is Jesus loves you! God created you with a purpose and plan! He loves you and nothing this world throws at you changes that!
All He wants from you in return is for you to choose a relationship with Him. Chose to talk to Him when you're hurting. Chose to cry out to Him when this world is horrible! He will comfort and hold you! Chose to rejoice with God when things go well! He wants to celebrate with you! But you have to choose the relationship first.
I know, I know, if He is a kind and just God why does He allow all the horrbile things of this world? Right? Because He is giving you and everyone else the time they need to choose the relationship! He won’t cut off this time one second before He knows that no one else will chose the relationship with Him. He is giving each of us the time we need to run to the good good Father’s arms and He won’t stop until there is no one left who will choose Him.
So if you want the bad, horrible things of this world to stop, turn to Him today and tell everyone you know! Until the whole world hears He will wait, heartbroken with us but patiently waiting.
But if this December finds you feeling like this leaning barn, weary, tired, pieces of you stolen by other people please rest at the manger, know Christmas is supposed to be a celebration of a 1/3 portion of God chosing to separate Himself from the other 2/3s to take on being a human being. He chose to come to earth and understand what it truly feels like to be human. He could have chosen to do this in style and comfort, but He chose to come and live as the lowest of humankind. He did this so He could truly understand the worst of what life as a person on this earth He created really could be like. He experienced all of the things we do still to this day.
He was born in a stable.
His parents were poor, they could only afford to offer the pair of turtledoves or 2 young doves at His presentation after His birth.
His family had to flee to another country and live as a refugee in Egypt until the current government was gone.
They went back to live in their hometown which was known as a garbage dump. The Bible quotes Nathanael saying "can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Jesus grew up in this garabage dump of a town.
It appears His father died when He was young, He knew loss of one loved dearly.
When His minsitry started as an adult He had no home.
He constantly had people trying to trap Him and kill Him.
He had a close friend betray Him.
He was ultimately killed in what history records as the absolute worst way to be executed.
He went through all this and so much more and He never sinned.
He lived a perfect life even though He felt every temptation we do today.
1/3 of God's wholeness came to earth and lived this life so He could have a relationship with you! He knew when He made this decision what He would go through and experience, He knew it was going to be so hard and miserable, But God still chose this so that He could have the chosen relationship with you! That is what we celebrate Christmas for! We celebrate a baby in the manger becuase we now know what that baby was to do with His life. We celebrate Christmas because we understand how His life gave us the option to have an everyday constant chosen relationship with the God who created us and the whole universe.
No matter what your life circumstances are today, I really hope you understanding this truth gives you peace and rest. It may not make you happy, but I pray you allow it give you comfort and rest and joy this Christmas season. Louie Giglio said, "God doesn't want you to minimize the difficulty of what you are walking through right now; He just wants you to maximize an understanding that whatever your circumstance is — He is greater." He understands, He has literally been there, and He is greater and waiting to help you.
This Ann Wilson song "Just because it's Christmas" is very encouraging if you are not living in the joy of the season because of your current life circumstances, it's ok, but don't let those circumstances take your peace and rest in the King who came to earth for you! He is greater then all of it! Here's a link to Ann Wilson's song.
Merry Christmas! I hope and pray you have a peaceful restful Christmas celebration!
And I know the camera has been down a few days:( we are working on it.
God bless you!
